Centaur producing a new Soakin Wet CD - Volume 3

With one hundred degree temperatures looming overNew York City, Centaur is excited to announce Don Turner's sixth annual Soakin Wet Party planned for Sunday August 20 on Pier 63 in Chelsea. Beat the heat and enjoy an afternoon of music and fun with Dj David Knapp and Dj Rob Harris.

"Soakin Wet is a daytime event, in New York City, set on the Hudson River," says event producer Don Turner. "That alone makes it unlike any other New York event, but it is the energy and enthusiasm of the party that is truly unique."

The very first Soakin Wet party served as a birthday party for Turner himself, an event that went over so well that it was suggested he throw more parties in the same vein. Soon, he was throwing party after party in New York with the attitude that the parties remain lighthearted and fun, the most important part for him. This philosophy has kept the crowds coming back, more and more every year.

Centaur has been a proud sponsor of Soakin Wet since the beginning, producing Official CDs for the past two years as the party has grown in popularity and size. This year the third volume of Soakin Wet from Centaur will be mixed by Rob Harris, a task previously handled by David Knapp. Harris, who played alongside Knapp in 2005 takes the spotlight in 2006, mixing his inaugural Centaur CD and his very first commercial release.

Stay tuned for further details on the final track listing of "Party Groove: Soakin Wet Volume 3" as Harris is planned to create the final mix this weekend. If you would like to schedule an interview with Don Turner, David Knapp or Rob Harris for an upcoming feature in your publication, please do not hesitate to contact Jamie Baxter at 718-852-6777 x202.
