Discotek Media releases Toho´s THE WAR IN SPACE (Wakusei Daisenso) on April 25, 2006

Toho sci-fi classic The War in Space, directed by Godzilla alumni Jun Fukuda, will be released on region 1 DVD April 25, 2006 by Discotek Media, the same company that brought us the delightful live-action version of Lupin The Third.

The plot is simple, but effective to any fans of rubber monsters, exploding miniatures and Asian cinema in general: Earth is attacked by alien spacecraft from Venus. But a Japanese scientist has constructed a space craft, the Gothen, with which he may save humanity.
