News From Mad Butcher Records

LOS FASTIDIOS - REBELS'N'REVELS (CD/LP)

The Zapatist sun on the album cover shows in advance about the lyrics of REBELS'n'REVELS, the new Los Fastidios album: riot, anger, fight and love.

The sound of REBELS'n'REVELS mix differents street music styles:streetpunk, ska, oi!, rock'n'roll, combat, h.c., punk rock. There is a biggest care in the sound and in the songs arrangements and thanx to the two new guitar players the new album sounds more powerful and mature than in the previous albums. The lyrics are strong and radical, it's a sunny and positive album watching to the future with hope and feelings of fight, redemption and revenge for all the living beings.

The themes are the ones always dealed by Los Fastidios : social engageement, rights, house, salary, house, , militant antifascism, animal rights, anti imperialism, anti capitalism. In the album there are also, as usual, fun songs about parties, pints, street, football and hooligans tales in the typical Los Fastidios style: Rebels'n'Revels!!!! The tracklist contains also the song Buscando el Sol written by Filippo (of the Atarassia Grop band) for Los Fastidios.

As usual Los Fastidios take a particular care in the graphic part of the album, in the booklet all the the lyrics are translated in english and in french languages. LP available in May. * Free MP3 file.

NO RESPECT - EXCUSE MY SMILE

This CD was first released 1997 and started No Respect´s journey into people´s stereos and onto the stages of concert halls all over Europe. It also marked their reputation as a grooving Ska/Punk Band with political lyrics who has a message it definitely wants to get through.

When "Excuse My Smile" came out there weren´t many bands playing this type of music, compared to today. The people in the band had no idea wether anybody would like this, but it was all they could play, rooting deeply in Punkrock and Skinhead subculture. The music on this album is rather soft, compared to the sound No Respect released in the following years when the band became more aggressive in their songs. It contains some of the most well known tunes of the group, for example their anti - fascist hymn "Human Scum" which you might have heard on some compilation before.

"Excuse..." was sold out for quite a while and comes back now released by Mad Butcher Records, with whom No Respect have been working together for almost 10 years. We hope you enjoy the music and the lyrics of this little gem from Germany. CD in niceprice. Stay wild, stay antifascist! * Free MP3 File.
