Blueprint Recordings - May Update

First off, we'd like to once again say thanks to everyone that continues to support Blueprint & its artists. It means a great deal to us Blueprint boys that so many people in all parts of the world are responding to the sounds that we are striving to push forward. In the coming months all we can predict is to expect the unexpected...After all, isn't that the beauty of this artform?

Many exciting things are in the works for Habersham, Numinous and the Blueprint label that we would like to share with you. First off, we are uber-excited to announce the return of the Blueprint club night in Atlanta! After a small hiatus, Blueprint events are back to step it up a notch. And what better way to return with a bang than with one of our favorite and inspiring DJs on the planet right now -- Damian Lazarus! The vibe will be thick and the setting will be intimate on Thursday, June 8th at Club Lava in Atlanta. This will undoubtedly be a special night for the underground, with some of Atlanta's best DJs joining Damian Lazarus, Habersham and Numinous on the lineup.

If you are not familiar with Mr. Lazarus, the well-deserved hype behind this artist has grown at exponential, unprecedented levels. Notorious for his live sets that can only be fully appreciated in the flesh, the buzz on Damian is based on word of mouth, rather than PR generated hype. In addition to being a master behind the decks with a truly unique sound, Damian runs the extremely popular and cutting edge UK-based record label, Crosstown Rebels. While incorporating the electro/tech-house sound so popular these days into an expansive genre playlist, Lazarus finds a way to make his sets undeniably original and utterly inspiring. He himself describes this sound as "twisted, raw, deep underground techno, house and electro. Crazy future music that works just as well at peak times in large clubs as it does in the early hours in small spaces."

If that's not enough, a second Blueprint night is already in the works for Friday, June 30th. Details are still being worked out, but rest assured that our guest will be a mind-blowing international talent and Blueprint mentor ;) More info soon to come...

On the Blueprint Recordings label front, we have taken a brief respite after the recent success of our 6th release from Andy Page, "Serpent / Blue Noise." In an attempt to only release fresh music that wasn't produced years prior, Blueprint will be turning its focus inward, with future releases centered around original Habersham and Numinous tracks. Aiding the evolution of the Blueprint sound to come will be a short list of remixers that inspire and innovate sideways-thinking weirdos like us.
