Martin Maheux Circle at le Petit Medley

Prog fusion drum wizard Martin Maheux (of the group Spaced Out) cordially invites you to the launch party of his latest album with the Martin Maheux Circle, Wednesday, March 29 2006 at Le Petit Medley (6206 St-Hubert Street, Montreal). The new cd, entitled "Sibylle", combines elements of jazz fusion, chamber music, progressive and features a a jazz quartet and a string quartet with two cellos.

Martin is a talented composer and musician, his acclaimed first solo CD "Physics Of Light" got great reviews from critics around the globe, and let's not forget his amazing performance with Spaced Out at NearFest 2002. The Martin Maheux Circle is composed of David Carbonneau on the trumpet, Éric St-Jean on the piano, Frédéric Grenier on the double bass, Martine Gaumond on violin, Sarah Ouellet on the alto, Sophie Coderre and Catherine Lesaulnier on the cello and Martin Maheux onm drums. Le nouveau CD, intitulé «Sibylle», combine des éléments de jazz fusion, de musique de chambre, de progressif et met en vedette un quatuor jazz et un quatuor à cordes avec deux violoncelles.
